Tom Hagarty,1st Ward Council Member
"I'll work harder for YOU!
Tom Hagarty has been a resident of Cedar Falls for over 60 years. Tom and his wife, Cathy, have lived at 809 Franklin St. since 1979. Their house is the birth site of Beth Streeter Aldrich, a pioneer Cedar Falls author.
Tom and Cathy were born and raised in Cedar Falls and attended grade school and high school together. Cathy is an Educational Associate at St. Patrick Grade School. Tom is a retired manager at the Waterloo Post Office. He had been with the Postal Service since 1970.
Tom was in the US Air Force serving as a medic during the Vietnam era.
Tom states, "I will continue to provide a strong voice for the residents of the First Ward. I will listen to the citizens and make their voices heard. I will work hard with the rest of the team to continue economic development, jobs and leisure opportunities aimed at keeping our citizens employed and living in this great city.
